Are you a young professional looking for ways to get more involved in Girls on the Run in 2020? We have two opportunities for you! Both the Young Friends Group and Young Professionals Board of Girls on the Run St. Louis are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who believe in the mission and core values of Girls on the Run, and want to share its magic with those in their personal and professional communities.

Here are a few reasons that these young professional groups may just be the perfect fit for you!

1) New to the St. Louis area and wanting to meet new people? Our young professionals come from a variety of professions and backgrounds, and organize happy hours and social events for you to do just that. We look forward to welcoming you to this phenomenal community and network!

2) Have you been a coach in the past, but your schedule will not allow you to do so this year? Membership in the Young Friends Group or Young Professionals Board requires less of a weekly time commitment than coaching, but both opportunities still allow you to connect with the girls and families of our program by volunteering at the bi-annual 5k events and supporting the scholarship fund through YPB organized events.

3) Are you looking to make an impact on the St. Louis community? In 2019, our young professional groups raised over $20,000 for the organization. That means 115 girls were supported by young professionals like you and were able to experience the transformational power of Girls on the Run.

And don't forget about our upcoming Trivia Night on January 24th, hosted by the Young Professionals Board! Presented by Buckingham Strategic Wealth and emceed by Alexis Zotos of KMOV, this event will feature eight rounds of trivia in addition to a silent auction and other add-on games. It will be a great way to see the Young Friends Group and Young Professionals Board in action!
