In 2008, I discovered Girls on the Run through a good friend and decided to start a site at my eldest child's school. I fell in love with the mission, coached for six years and even helped to start a Girls on Track (now Heart & Sole) site at my kids' middle school. This season the theme of our GOTR-STL 5K has been Strong Girls, Strong St. Louis. What does that mean to you? From the dedicated coaches and administrators ensuring the girls have a safe space to practice, to the families and friends who supported their girls throughout the season to finish their 5K strong, we have witnessed our Girls on the Run community's Star Power!
ST. LOUIS (May 5, 2021) – The Girls on the Run team at Southview School in the Special School District of St. Louis County, as well as dedicated volunteers Lilian Davis and David Pokorny will be recognized with Energy Awards during the Power of One Campaign from May 10-May 31.
