More Than a Running Program

At Girls on the Run, we envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. She may start out in life with confidence, but often that confidence is shaken by messages in the media or her peers, which can lead to negative self-talk. Our program has become a movement of people from all walks of life who encourage us to inspire girls, and each other, to be joyful, healthy and confident by having fun and working towards our goals together.

Although voting is done, our mission to inspire and empower girls remains stronger than ever. Today and every day, Girls on the Run St. Louis is committed to helping ALL girls — of all races, ethnicities, backgrounds and experiences — recognize their inherent power and strength.

Fall 2020 Program Impact

This fall, girls and coaches across our territory are lacing up their shoes, logging in to zoom, and connecting with their peers! Some teams are practicing in a virtual setting, and some teams are practicing in-person in safe, socially-distant ways. Regardless of HOW girls and coaches are connecting, they are learning, growing, and having fun together!

30 Miles for 30 Years for GOTR!

This year was meant to be my first Boston Marathon, which of course was cancelled -twice! - and then replaced by a virtual marathon. My 30th birthday happens to fall in the Boston Marathon virtual window, so I've decided to not only run the marathon but tack on an extra 3.8 miles to make it an even 30 miles- further than I've ever run before!
