The world has changed so much since we embarked on the Spring 2020 Girls on the Run season. We steadfastly remain focused on the social, emotional and physical health of our girls and our community. And although we can’t be together physically right now, we are so excited about the positive impact that GOTR at Home is having on our GOTR community.
Dear Girls on the Run St. Louis Community Member,
On behalf of all of us at Girls on the Run St. Louis, my gratitude for being part of our mission and hope that you and your family are healthy and safe as we navigate the challenges and uncertainties of COVID-19.
The health and safety of our Girls on the Run and volunteers are our foremost priority at Girls on the Run St. Louis (GOTR-STL). We are closely monitoring the status of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, in our region and the United States. We know the volume of information you are receiving is high and rapidly changing. While this can feel overwhelming, our intention is to be supportive of our GOTR-STL families, volunteers and community and to feel as connected as possible in the coming days and weeks.
Just because the temperatures are dropping doesn’t mean outdoor running and exercising has to drop as well. Here are some tips and tricks from Terra Blatnik, MD to help your dedicated young athlete continue to train in the winter months:
