The largest timed 5k in Missouri, the 10th largest 5k in the United States and the largest Girls on the Run 5k in the country, the bi-annual Girls on the Run St. Louis (GOTR-STL) 5k Race benefits the Girls on the Run Scholarship Fund. More than 8,000 runners are expected to participate. Of these, 3,800 are girls who are participating in GOTR this spring across 23 counties in Missouri and Illinois. Spring 2018 is one of the largest seasons in the history of GOTR-STL.

Her commitment to improving the St. Louis community is an illustration to girls and women across the region.”
Kim Hudson wrote a letter to the 3,800 Girls on the Run. Ms. Hudson shared her own journey to gain personal confidence and the role running has played in her own life. “I learned so much when I ran. I learned how to pace myself. I learned how to not push myself too hard. I learned how to visualize meeting my goals. I learned that finishing is what is more important than anything else in the whole world. Ladies, take all the lessons you learn while running on the road and apply them to every area of your life. Be a finisher.”
