Kate Miller, Program Coordinator, joined the team in July, 2018. Kate is no stranger to GOTR having served as a head coach/site liaison for seven years, a small group facilitator for coach trainings, and participated in Team Adelaide and the 5K Sparkler team for the fall seasons. She is super excited to join the GOTR-STL team!
Kate taught middle school social studies and language arts at St. Ambrose on the The Hill for ten years and was on the Virtue-Based Restorative Discipline committee (VBRD), which encourages teachers, students and their families to cultivate virtues in their lives and to handle conflict with forgiveness and grace. Kate was also a VBRD small group facilitator for teachers at the VBRD summer institute from 2016-2017.
Kate loves the Girls on the Run 5K, but also likes to run the Kirkwood Turkey Trot, Hope for Haiti, American Cancer Association and Chill on the Hill 5K races. She is also passionate about raising awareness for cleaning our oceans, the need for clean water in developing nations, encouraging the planting of native species and reducing pesticides for pollinators, and healthcare for women.
Kate lives in Kirkwood, Missouri with her husband, Alex, her two kids, John and Abigail, and their dog, Deputy U. S. Marshal Raylan Givens. They love to run, ride bikes, go fishing, horseback riding, camping and going to the beach together.
