As a volunteer coach at Bermuda Elementary School for 8 seasons, Kim has witnessed first-hand the positive impact that the program has made on girls at her school and was inspired to become more involved by becoming a SoleMate. Kim is training for the upcoming Chicago Marathon on October 9th while also raising funds for GOTR and sharing our mission.

SoleMate Riders Tackle Katy Trail for Girls on the Run

Last week, David Pokorny (GOTRSTL Board Member) and a handful of other GOTR supporters completed the Katy Trail Ride put on by Missouri State Parks and Missouri State Parks Foundation as SoleMates. In the months leading up to the event, David and his teammate raised more than $6,000 for Girls on the Run St. Louis scholarships! We are grateful for the heart, energy and miles that our SoleMates give to ensure that every girl who wants to be a Girl on the Run CAN!

Erin  Risk originally got involved in Girls on the Run St. Louis as a volunteer through Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, as Girls on the Run is proud to be their national philanthropy. Erin ran our 5k a number of times and is now running as a Girls on the Run St. Louis Solemate in the Zooma Women’s Half Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee.
