St. Louis Native and World Cup Champion Lori Chalupny Named Honorary Race Chair for Girls on the Run 5k Race

St. Louis native Lori Chalupny, a member of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team that captivated the nation with its World Cup victory this summer, today was named the honorary race chair and grand marshal for the Girls on the Run 5k race on Saturday, Nov. 14, starting at Soldiers' Memorial in downtown St. Louis.

Celebrating 25 Years of the Katy Trail!

On Saturday, September 5th, a few members of our Girls on the Run St. Louis staff team met for a fun bike ride on the Katy Trail! And, it just so happened that the Katy Trail is celebrating its 25th birthday, so our timing was great. You might ask, why did we decide on one of the hottest Saturdays of the summer to go bike-riding? Our answer, “Why Not”! So, we, Development Director, Emilie Fan, Operations Director, Maggie Siemer, and Program Director, Renee Parks grabbed our bikes and took off. We were lucky to have two other Girls on the Run St.

Catching Up With a SoleMate!

Erin  Risk originally got involved in Girls on the Run St. Louis as a volunteer through Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, as Girls on the Run is proud to be their national philanthropy. Erin ran our 5k a number of times and is now running as a Girls on the Run St. Louis Solemate in the Zooma Women’s Half Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee.
