The Girls on the Run 5K presented by Monsanto will take place in Forest park on Saturday, November 8th in Forest Park in front of the Muny. Please join us for running of course but also dancing, face painting, massages, and the first annual Duck Race! We will be launching 6000 ducks into the Muny lagoon for a race to some wonderful prizes. Prizes include 4 front row tickets to the Cardinals, a new bike from Big Shark, a weekend getaway in Innsbrook and a Nintendo Wii. Raffle tickets to adopt your duck are available for purchase through online registration, through our race flyer or email us at volunteer@girlsontherunstlouis.org.
Race Details:
This will be our first race using the DAG Timing System- a 2nd generation "chip" offered through Fleet Feet, where each participant's race number contains a disposable identification chip. This system is great since official times will only reflect time spent between the start line and finish line. This should also improve our delivery of race results in record time.

You can become a coach! Coaches are provided with training, a comprehensive well researched curriculum, and teaching materials that are being used by Girls on the Run in communities around the nation. Past coaches have come from a wide variety of backgrounds: mothers, teachers, nurses, guidance counselors, college students and other community members who value health and physical fitness.
